Badger Cab, Sue Chenette

Charles Hood, Boneyard

Badger Cab

Pitch and yaw a loose-
strung puppet or wild
yarrow buffeted
in whipsaw winds
wild bells stripped of
stillness toppling
mother-daughter cartwheels
unstrung in green
woods waving

as Zoot Sims bit
my arm in that Badger Cab
in the wild silence
of the driver’s yawn

Zowie!

Review by Massimo Fantuzzi

Wild silence: I can’t think of a better definition for what the poetic effort is and represents. If nobody has anything against it, I will use it again.
