Imagine a whole storeroom filled with shelties, a shopping mall, a football stadium. Shelties piled on each other’s backs, the bottommost ones in danger of asphyxiation – who thought up this inane convention? Everyone just take your own pet home now, move quietly and deliberately, don’t crowd the exits. It was a natural mistake, a miscalculation, and we’re here to put it right. No ma’am, I don’t have the name of the fellow who started it. Too much of a good thing, I’d say. Wait a minute, I misspoke, it wasn’t shelties at all. Giraffes. It was giraffes. I feel so silly.
