Today the Sun Rises for the First Time, Brian Jerrold Koester

Doug Roy, Sun, Cut Paper

Today the Sun Rises for the First Time *

If we meet again
the sun will shine on us
even if we’re on the bottom
of the Mariana Hollow

If we meet again
the stars will come out
even if it’s noon

Touch me and
the Kaleidoscope will freeze
in the pattern of our dream

Touch me and
the Eye Nebula will light the way
