no peaches this summer just shiny green leaves
each growing year different the hot one
when Japanese beetles fornicated on every
leaf and we popped them between fingers
the year the peaches bent the branches down
the year the pears bent the branches down
raspberries lavender Concord grapes
this year the grass is still green in August
