I HAVE A SON WHO DREAMS OF ASCLEPIUS AND MAGIC POTIONS

I have a son who dreams of Asclepius and magic potions,

although he has yet to
grow into his
father’s long bones,
and a good-sized god could
hold his fragile ribcage
in one hand.

I have a son who dreams of Asclepius and magic potions,

and who dreams the
morning slashed wide
will bring
daughters spilling fists of
coins for miracles, and
then the lame will
stretch, and
rise.
