Pamela O’Shaughnessy is a thriller writer who lives in Santa Cruz, California. Her first book of poetry, Flying at Sea-Level, was published by Creekside Communications in 2006. She is the editor of, and a contributor to, Burning Gorgeous, an anthology of experimental poetry published by Laika Press and Robertson Publishing in 2010. Femina will be published in 2011.
Lise Whidden is an author from North Carolina who is learning to dance in mud puddles after a hard rain. She received a Pushcart Prize nomination in 2010 for her poem ‘Daughters of the Old Kind’, which appeared in the anthology Postcards from Eve. Some of her work has appeared in The Shine Journal, Lily, The Dead Mule, Dogplotz, San Pedro River Review, Hiss Quarterly, Subtle Tea, Mad Hatters Review, Crimson Highway, Gutter Eloquence, Joyful! and the anthologies Nothing but Red and lilith. a collection of women’s writes.
April Michelle Bratten is a writer currently tucked away in the Badlands of North Dakota. She is a co-editor of the online literary journal Up the Staircase.
William Crawford has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize in poetry. His work has appeared in several publications including Differentia Press, Sugar Mule, Counterexample Poetics, Calliope Nerve, Unlikely 2.0, Gloom Cupboard, decomP, Leaf Garden Press, Troubadour 21, Luciole Press, Danse Macabre, and Up the Staircase. Emeniano Acain Somoza, Jr. is a Communications Officer in the Middle East and author of ‘A Fistful of Moonbeams’, his first poetry chapbook, published by Kilmog Press in April 2010. Although he is foremost a poet, Somoza also writes fiction, essays, and plays. Somoza hails from Siquijor Island in the Philippines. His writing has been widely published in his home country and internationally. He received his Bachelor degree in Mass Communication from the University of the City of Manila and masteral units in Creative Writing from the University of the Philippines-Diliman.
Elissa Leichter, 32, was born in New York. Her poems have or will appear in Calliope, Negative Suck, Barrier Islands Review, Gargoyle Magazine and others. She obtained her Bachelor degree from Cornell University, a Master’s of Science from Fordham University, and a Master’s of Fine Arts from Sarah Lawrence College. Readings include The Ear Inn, Cornelia Street Café, The Ireland House and others. She lives and writes in Manhattan with her husband and their dog, Beckett.
Lee Stern lives in Los Angeles. About 150 published poems. Many on the Internet. Likes to make up sentences. Happiest when he doesn’t know what they mean.
Zeke Sanchez has lived in the South for 20 years, and has written for newspapers and corporate publications. “the engine of our memory” is Zeke’s first published work since his college days. Currently, Zeke is rewriting and trying to finish a couple of novels. For other creative outlets, Zeke says he has, over the years, soloed in a Cessna 172, lived in migrant camps, fought forest fires, walked the back streets of Saigon during the war years, and comfortably watched his share of television as a couch potato.
Christine Crockett lives in northern California. When she’s not encouraging teenagers to read, think, and write, she reads, thinks or writes just for herself. Or she paints.
