Letter From the Editors

We are extremely proud to present Issue #6 of Triggerfish Critical Review to our readers. This issue is the culmination of input from an extensive, global staff whose various aesthetics and approaches to poetry creates a diverse reading experience. It would seem that too many cooks do not spoil the broth!

We aim to offer a theme in every issue, and Issue #6 is no exception. Our chosen theme for this issue is ‘delightful surprise’ – this is the reaction every member of the editorial team enjoyed upon reading and discussing each chosen piece. We are honoured to share the work of these beautiful talents and minds.

Our highly topical reviews are attracting great interest and discussion within the poetry community as well as those less acquainted with poetry; as such we have included a greater number of reviews in this issue. We encourage you to read these as a transparency into the breadth and breath of selected pieces.

We are delighted to introduce feature artist C. Albert, whose collages include an accompanying poem, together with an insightful essay from Don Zirilli. Working with C. Albert has been a gorgeous experience and we hope to repeat the process with other artists.

Grab your favourite drink, join the many voices in this journal, and thrill till the wee hours.
