Corpse Means Body in Latin

The corpse
I write of,
Is not a corpse.
I have discovered her
In a country meadow.

She is alive.

Pretending to be dead.

She is alive and kicking.
Mean and lacerating.

She lives.
She lives.
She must be controlled.
Loved. And tender love.
Loved
But simultaneously
Harnessed.
